Addressing the gap in arts engagement
Alpha Artistry World CIC was birthed in 2024, from lived experience and the desire to make real change in the arts. Stats show that people from global majority backgrounds in London engage with arts and culture the least. That also means missing out on the benefits of engaging with the arts - such as wellbeing and practical skills building.
We're tackling this disparity through our culturally responsive art experiences and programmes open to people from culturally diverse communities. So far, our creative experiences have engaged over 200 people from global majority backgrounds in London. And this is only the beginning.
Creating lasting impact through arts education
The Innovator's Club ® Programme
The Alpha Artistry World CIC Innovator's Club programme amplifies the voices of global majority and ESOL youth while improving their creative skills development and engagement in art. Rooted in representation and belonging, the programme offers meaningful entry points into creative learning.

"Today, creativity is both a wellbeing essential and one of the most sought after employability skills. We're not just helping people make art, we're equipping them with the creative mindset and skills to broaden their futures."
Sharyh
ALPHA ARTISTRY WORLD CIC FOUNDER

Hello, I'm Sharyh. Creativity has always been part of who I am. As a child, I loved making art, but as I became more invested in it academically, I realised the curriculum left many perspectives (including my own) untold. Years later, while continuing my creative practice alongside roles in education and the corporate world, I found myself returning to that experience and reflecting on what was missing. It eventually inspired me to launch Alpha Artistry World CIC (officially) in 2025, rooted in a simple belief: people from global ethnic majority backgrounds deserve to see themselves reflected in the arts. And not just for the sake of creativity alone. The research continues to show the powerful role of arts engagement in building confidence, wellbeing and belonging. I believe these opportunities should be accessible to everyone.

Creativity has the power to bring people together. Through our programmes, young people don't just develop new artistic skills, they build confidence, form friendships and become part of a supportive creative community.
Every participant we surveyed in our 2024 Innovators Club® programme told us they felt part of a creative community after taking part in the programme. For many, the workshops became a place to connect with others who shared similar experiences and cultural backgrounds, creating a genuine sense of belonging.
These connections don't end when the workshop finishes; they help young people feel seen, supported and inspired to continue their creative journey.
